Search is on for Wesley Chapel shooter

Pasco County deputies and Major Crimes detectives are looking for the gunman who shot at a 22-year-old man in Wesley Chapel Wednesday night and fled the scene.

Deputies responded to the call about a shooting on Eastport Drive about 9 p.m. They said the shooter came up to the back porch of the home and then took off. there were four other people at the house that night.

The victim is still at the hospital in critical condition.

After searching the area, detectives concluded the suspect had left the neighborhood. Deputies continue to investigate the shooting. They ask anyone with any information about it to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office tip line at 800-706-2488.
