FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Detectives raided a Fayetteville home Thursday after receiving a tip that a gambling operation was being run inside the residence.

Soon Ju Lunsford, 54, was arrested on charges of operating and possession of gambling devices, operating and possession of slot machines, manufacture/sell of gaming machines, as well as possessing types of machines and devices prohibited by law.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said it received an anonymous tip through Crimestoppers that a home in the 7000 block of Telfair Drive in the LaGrange subdivision was operating an underground gambling hall.

Five people were inside the home at the time of the raid, three of whom were playing video poker games and issued citations for illegal gambling.

Detectives seized eight gaming machines, an undetermined amount of money and recovered a handgun.

Lunsford was released from the Cumberland County Detention Center tonight under a $16,000 unsecured bond.
