Columbus dentist offers free care Friday

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. - A Columbus dentist is donating his services Friday in memory of his son, Russ Smith.

Russ Day is an annual event hosted by Dr. Edward Smith on October 11, his son's birthday. By appointment only, the doctor and his family clinic are providing free dental exams, cleanings and fluoride treatments to uninsured children of all ages.

The office asks that any family able to pay for a portion of their child's visit instead donates to the Cattahoochee Casa.

The office, located at 5650 Whitesville Road, can be reached at 706-494-5886.
