West Point police searching for suspects in armed robbery case

WEST POINT, Ga. -

West Point police are searching for several suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint.

The incident happened on Thurs. Oct. 10. Officers responded to the area of Avenue K and East 10th Street, where they met with a male victim. The unidentified person told officers two black men in a 2001 gray Honda Accord approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. One of the suspects ran away. The victim then told officials he grabbed the remaining suspects gun and a fight ensued.

West Point police have identified one of the suspects as Sergio Barrett, aka Roe Roe. He is wanted on aggravated assault and armed robbery charges. Gang related charges are pending.

The suspect's vehicle has been described as a 2001 gray Honda Accord bearing Georgia tag number PQK 7557.

Anyone who has information on any of the suspects is asked to call West Point police at 706-645-3525 or call local police. Authorities warn the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
