Pamlico County High School’s NJROTC receives award

Pamlico County High School’s Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) unit has been recognized as The Navy League of the United States’ most improved NJROTC unit for the school year 2012-2013. 

Pamlico County Schools tells 9 On Your Side the PCHS NJROTC unit is one of over 600 NJROTC Units. 

William Culler, Major, USMC (Ret.) (center), representing the NLUS presented the Most Improved Unit Award to the NJROTC Unit during the regular meeting of the Pamlico County Board of Education.  Also pictured are (l-r) Commander Michael Robinson, Master Chief Dave Matthews, Cadet Mikayla Wayne, Cadet Garret Whorton, Reginald Hawkins, Board Chairman, Dr. Wanda Dawson, Superintendent, and Private First Class Jonathon Clark (back).
