A chance for weekend rain

The weather picture looks as cool as we've seen so far this fall, but our weekend could be marred by rain on Saturday.

A cold front that came through Thursday has slowed down in south Georgia, and is expected to stall once it reached the Gulf waters.  This will set us up for a return of clouds on Saturday, and most indications are that rain will break out north of the boundary.  That will mean a wet Saturday for Florida gulf coastal areas, with the main question for us being how far north the rain will spread.  Any amounts we receive on Saturday will be light.

Sunday should bring major improvement in our weather as a second front passes through, which should help to clear our skies and will also bring a push of cooler, drier air to the area.

Another fairly strong front is projected for next Tuesday, with another chance for rain and this time a strong surge of Canadian air on Wednesday that will bring a real fall chill to much of Georgia and Alabama for the latter half of the week.
