Cool and Cooler

The air had a more fall-like feel over the weekend after the passage of a cold front early Saturday, but that was only the beginning.  Even cooler temperatures are in store as another front goes by Tuesday night.

Clouds will be on the increase later today and will last through most of Tuesday.  It's possible that a few areas, especially south of Columbus, could see light rain early Tuesday, but that is unlikely to amount to much more than a few sprinkles.

On Wednesday, cool Canadian air will surge in behind another front, which should clear our skies and also bring another drop in temperatures.  Daytime highs will have a hard time making 70 degrees for the rest of the week, while lows will plunge toward the lower 40s several mornings, the coolest temperatures we've seen since last spring.  A few isolated areas could drop into the upper 30s Thursday morning.
