Marshall's status unchanged, still "day-to-day"

AUBURN, Ala. -

Nick Marshall's status has not changed for Saturday, Gus Malzahn said after practice on Wednesday.

The quarterback is still dealing with a right shoulder injury suffered against Florida Atlantic.

Malzahn said Marshall practiced fully on Sunday and again Tuesday and Wednesday, saying his throwing was "decent."

"He's our starting quarterback," Malzahn said. "Anytime you want to make sure that he can do what he does and make sure he gives you the best chance of winning."

The Arkansas coaching staff doesn't appear to be buying any question of Marshall playing.

"Absolutely," said defensive coordinator Chris Ash when asked if he thought Marshall would play. "I don't know why he wouldn't."

Auburn travels to Arkansas for a 6:00 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday.
