Fort Benning's Infantry Commandant reassigned

FORT BENNING, Ga. -

   The commandant of the Infantry School at the Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning has been reassigned.

   Brigadier General David B. Haight's new assignment is deputy commanding officer, Regional Command-East, Afghanistan.

   Haight was promoted to brigadier general on April 5 and has served as the Chief of Infantry since August 2012.

   As the infantry commandant, Haight was responsible for all facets of Infantry training, including all doctrine, policies and responsibilities relating to the Infantry force.
