Brookstone, Schley County, split doubleheaders Thursday

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

The Brookstone Cougars and Schley County Wildcats each went 1-1 in the first day of the GHSA state softball tournament.

Brookstone knocked off First Presbyterian, 3-1, in game one, before falling to ELCA, 10-5. The Cougars will face the winner between George Walton and Savannah Christian Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Schley County run-ruled Hawkinsville, 15-3, in game one, before being shut out by Gordon Lee, 8-0. They will face the Treutlen/Seminole County winner, also Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Both games are elimination games.
