Marshall healthy, can "do everything"

AUBURN, Ala. -

Gus Malzahn said quarterback Nick Marshall was able to "do everything" at practice, seemingly putting to bed any concerns over the health of the junior's shoulder.

Marshall injured the shoulder Oct. 26 against Florida Atlantic, though he did play last weekend against Arkansas.

Turned out, the Tigers didn't need his right shoulder too much. They threw the ball just nine times, eight from Marshall, for the entire game. Meanwhile, Auburn ran the ball 46 times for 233 yards.

Malzahn said that wasn't necessarily the plan going in, and that they could throw ball if needed.

"We felt comfortable, somewhat, last week, but we were fairly successful running the football, and we got a lead," Malzahn said. "It was a unique game in the way it unfolded, and we were successful and we just kept doing it. We have confidence that we can spread the ball around and we can throw it."

Auburn travels to Knoxville to take on Tennessee Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET.
