    A Johnson City man was arrested Saturday after police said he assaulted his father with a hammer.According to police, Robert Collins, 25, attacked the victim, choked him, hit him with a hammer, and then smashed a kitchen window.Collins was charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault and one count of vandalism.He's in the Washington County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.Copyright WJHL 2014. Carver to host Veteran’s Day program
Carver Recreation Center will honor veterans from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 with a ceremony and reception. The program is free and open to all ages. Please contact Carver Recreation Center at 461-8830 for more information.

Faculty, staff and the community will join forces on Monday, November 11, 2013 to welcome and honor Veterans of the United States Armed Forces in a variety of creative and heartfelt ways. Events at the school range from a special Veterans Day Assembly to a commemorative Art Walk to creating holiday cards for distribution to service members, veterans and their families.

The free wedding package includes up to 25 guests, an ordained minister, photographer and videographer. These services will be offered at no cost to wounded warriors and their families.
