Fayetteville police identify suspect in double murder

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police identified and charged a man in the shooting deaths of two people on Nov. 1 at a nightclub on Bragg Boulevard.

Police said Jacoy Nathan Mahorn, 29, shot and killed Cornelius Tobias Jackson and Melissa Yamile Neal outside Mickey's Bar and Grill located in Carolina Square at 5121 Bragg Blvd.

Mahorn has been charged with two counts first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and two counts discharging a weapon into occupied property.

An altercation took place in the parking lot between Mahorn and the victims that resulted in an exchange of gunfire. Two others received minor injuries.
