COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Former Kendrick Cherokee standout Cameron Baker has signed to play basketball at Columbus State, beginning with the 2014-15 season.

Baker, a 2011 Kendrick graduate, is currently at junior college Central Georgia Tech.

He is the second leading scorer at 17.0 points a game through four games this season, and was the Titans' leading scorer last season with 18.2 points a game to go with 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

"Cam is a strong guard that can get to the basket and score," CSU head coach Robert Moore said in a news release. "He will be an impact player for the Cougars because of his strength and overall skills as a basketball player."

Baker was named first team All-Bi-City, first team All-Region and first team All-State as a senior at Kendrick. He averaged 23.3 points a game and 5.0 assists.
