COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Columbus High senior Brianna Gogins signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Florida International University in Miami on Thursday.

Gogins, who helped lead the Blue Devils to the GHSA AAAA state title this season, finished her high school career with 831 kills, 251 blocks and 126 aces. She is also the Georgia AAAA Player of the Year, a member of the Under Armour All-American team, a Georgia senior All-Star, and All Bi-City Player of the year.

"I'm blessed to have that type of opportunity," Gogins said. "I'm glad that all my hard work paid off and I'm really happy to be able to play at the next level because not everyone gets to do it."

Gogins says she will major in mechanical engineering.
