U.S. government requests for Google user information rises

Posted: Updated:

The government's requests for information on Google users continues to rise.

That's according to the online company's annual transparency report.

The tech company says it received more inquiries about user information in the first six months of 2013 from the Feds than any period before.

The U.S. government also makes the most requests in the world for user data.

This is Google's eighth transparency report since it started publicly sharing the statistics in 2010.
