"Married & Proud of It!" film festival open to area youth

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

The TriCities and Columbus area Family and Marriage Education (FAME) Group are hosting the inaugural "Married & Proud of It! Youth Film Festival."

The event is open to all middle school, high school and college students in the surrounding areas.

Youth are asked to create a 3-5 minute film that reflects what marriage/love looks like in the community through the eyes of our youth. The films can be documentaries, comedies or dramas, but cannot be more than a year old. The work must be directed/produced by middle school, high school or college students. Adult supervision must be limited to an advisory capacity only.

Films should be submitted on a DVD (three copies), clearly marked with submitter's name, title of production, entry fee and a completed submission form. It is required that parents sign for students under 18 years of age. Everything must be received by Fri. Jan. 17, 2014.
