Epperly Tire donates proceeds to Valley Rescue Mission

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

A Columbus business is trying to provide for people in need this holiday season by donating proceeds to a Columbus charity. All 3 Epperly Tire locations in Columbus donated all proceeds of oil changes Wednesday to Valley Rescue Mission.

The organization provides toys, food, clothes, and meals for needy people all throughout the year but during the holidays representatives say the need is even greater.

"We're trying to expand so we can have more people come and stay with us until they can get on their feet. So it will help tremendously with our day to day expenses as well as in expanding," said Marilyn McDonald at Valley Rescue Mission.

Normally the stores give about $2,500. The donation is a part of their Changing Oil Changing Lives campaign. They donate to a different organization each month.
