The Harnett County Sheriff's Office said an 18-year-old is in custody after they said he assaulted three people before a mobile home caught fire.
A Coats police officer arrived first at the residence on Keyman Drive following a domestic disturbance call around 7 p.m. Friday. A single-wide mobile home was on fire when the officer arrived.
Authorities said three people were assaulted. A family member, a neighbor and the girlfriend of the suspect, Christopher Valdez, were assaulted. Two of the injured were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The sheriff's office said Valdez will be in charged with assault on a female and other related charges.
The cause and origin of the fire is also under investigation.
