UNC frat suspended for alcohol violations

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

A fraternity at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is under investigation for possible "alcohol violations and inappropriate New Member activities."

The national chapter of Chi Phi confirmed in a release the Alpha-Alpha Chapter has been suspended from the campus. The chapter is under review by the Chi Phi governing body.

In the release, the fraternity said it looks to continue its long-standing relationship with the University.

Any inquiries regarding the current status of the Alpha-Alpha Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity or the Fraternity's judicial process should be directed to Michael Azarian, executive director.
