Auburn police arrest Theft suspect Saturday

AUBURN, Ala. -

On Saturday, Nov. 30, Auburn police arrested 19-year-old Ambriah S. Hunter from Auburn on a felony warrant charging her with Theft of Property Second Degree.

The arrest comes after a victim said her purse, which contained a wallet, credit cards and cash was stolen by two unknown individual while she was in a restaurant on E. Magnolia Avenue around 3:30 p.m. the same day. 

Responding officers were given a description of the suspects and an investigation into the incident was initiated by the Auburn Police Division. Hunter and a 17-year-old juvenile were quickly located still in the vicinity of the theft. Officers took both suspects into custody and recovered the victim's property, valued at $200.

Hunter was transported to the Lee County Jail where her bond was set at $3,000. The juvenile was not charged in the case and later released to parents.
