PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -

WRBL's 60th Anniversary "Our Town" tour will make its final stop in Pine Mountain on Thursday, December 12th.

The station will broadcast "News 3 First Edition" (5 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. CDT) and "News 3 Early Edition" (6 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. CDT) from the Callaway Gardens. News 3's Teresa Whitaker and Phil Scoggins will anchor the newscasts live from the Circus Tent alongside Robin Lake. The public is invited to attend and watch the production from behind the scenes.

The newscasts will feature special reports and features on the history of Pine Mountain and Callaway Gardens as well as on all there is to see and do there. A highlight story will be a special look at the planning and work that goes into the resort's world-famous "Fantasy in Lights" holiday light display. The newscasts will also feature interviews and live performances from local musicians and singers.

"What better way to wrap up what has been an amazing project than a Christmas-time visit to Pine Mountain?" says WRBL Vice-President and General Manager David Hart. "Pine Mountain and Callaway Gardens are almost synonymous with the holiday season, and we're looking forward to a wonderful time."

The "Our Town" tour is part of a celebration of the station's 60th Anniversary. WRBL first went on the air on November 15, 1953. Previous stops on the "Our Town" tour include Opelika, Warm Springs, Columbus, LaGrange, Americus, Chambers County, Phenix City, Eufaula and Auburn.

"I could not be more pleased with ‘Our Town,' Hart says."We have met so many wonderful people over the past ten months and it's been a great way for all of us at News 3 to get out into the communities we serve to say ‘thank you' for making WRBL a success for now over six decades."
