Auburn officially in national championship game

The second ranked Auburn Tigers will play the top ranked Florida State Seminoles in the BCS national championship game on January 6th in Pasadena, California.

The official announcement came Sunday night when bowls game matchups were revealed.

Auburn defeated Missouri on Saturday in the SEC Championship Game. After that game, Michigan State upset Ohio State. That loss elevated Auburn to number two in the final BCS Standings.

The 12-1 Tigers have been on a winning streak ever since their loss to LSU on September 21st. The Seminoles are undefeated.

In other bowl news:

Alabama will play Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.

Georgia will play Nebraska in the Gator Bowl. It will be the 2nd year in a row Georgia plays Nebraska in a bowl game.

Georgia Tech will play Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl.
