COLUMBUS, Ga. -
After a national search, Bill Murphy has been selected as the new Executive Vice President of Economic Development for the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce. His experiences in economic development include work in the public and private sectors in Dayton, Middleton, Cincinnati and currently Piqua, Ohio.
Some of his professional training and certifications include the Economic Development Finance Professional, and the IEDC Excellence in Economic Development Award. He is active in the International Economic Development Council and has completed all of the CEcD coursework.
"We are fortunate to have Bill join our Chamber Team", stated Mike Gaymon, President and CEO of the Chamber. "His experiences in economic development, strategic planning and cluster based marketing in domestic and international markets will serve our Region very well", Gaymon emphasized.
Bill will be moving to the Region and begin his new position no later than the beginning of February.
