Ms. Emilee Braddy of Harris County High School wins MEA Golden Apple Award

Posted: Updated:

This week's MEA Golden Apple Award winner is another teacher who willingly volunteers her time to tutor her students.

Ms. Emilee Braddy,  who teaches junior and senior calculus at Harris County High School was nominated by Kathy Bolar who told us that Ms. Braddy is an amazing teacher and is very deserving of the Golden Apple.

Bolar says Ms. Braddy used her planning period to help tutor her son so that he could pass the ASVAB, the military entrance exam.

Her son has chosen to join the Marines and she credits Braddy for giving him that opportunity.

Ms. Braddy was humble but pleased to receive the recognition.

Congratulations again to teacher Emilee Braddy this week's MEA Federal Credit Union Golden Apple Award winner and final winner of 2013.

Anyone can nominate their teacher for a Golden Apple by filling out a nominating form on our website.
