Duke's leading rusher suspended from the university

DURHAM, N.C. -

Duke running back Jela Duncan has been suspended from the University for violation of university academic policy, the school announced Saturday. 

Duncan, a sophomore, will not play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Texas A&M Dec. 31.

He is eligible to return for the Spring 2015 semester.

Duncan rushed for 562 yards and three touchdowns on 113 attempts.
