The Alabama Bureau of Investigation has finished it’s probe into the officer-involved shooting in Eufaula last October.

26-year old Cameron Massey was shot and killed after a traffic stop on Highway 431. Police officers involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave.

The ABI has sent its findings to the District Attorney, according to ABI spokesperson Sgt. Steve Jarrett.

During a community meeting a few days after Massey’s death, the county's District Attorney assured the public when the case reaches his desk, he would be fair in his decision-making.

"If any police officer is found to have committed a crime, I promise you that police officer will be prosecuted," says Ben Reeves, the county's District Attorney.

The following day, hundreds of people marched through the streets of Eufaula calling for justice.

The District Attorney will review the ABI's findings and make a decision on the case sometime in the next few months.
