Glass wall, locked door stops attempted robbery at Greenville Domino's

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Police say a layer of glass and a locked door prevented an armed robber from breaking into a Greenville Domino’s Pizza Thursday night.

Greenville police say around 10:25 p.m. a man came into the takeout pizza business pointing a handgun. He then walked into the lobby area and tried to open the door into the employee working area.

Police say the door was locked and a glass divider that separates the two rooms served as a barricade between the man and employees. That’s when he ran off empty-handed.

No one was hurt.

Police say the man was wearing a black hoodie and a white bandana over his face.
