Auburn police arrest a man in connection with home invasion

AUBURN, Ala. -

A man is under arrest in Auburn after a home invasion.

Auburn police arrested 26-year-old Harry Drake Thursday on a felony warrant charging him with Receiving Stolen Property Second Degree.

The same day a burglary was reported at a home in the 300 block of North Ross Street. The victim told officers that someone entered their residence sometime between Dec. 19 and Dec. 26 and stole various electronic devices, firearms and coins valued at $4,600.     

Drake was developed as a suspect, and he was located by police and discovered to be in possession of electronics and a firearm that belonged to the victim. Property valued at $2,400 was recovered by police.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected. Drake was transported to the Lee County Jail where his bond was set at $3,000.
