MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WBTW) -

Lt. Robert Kegler with Horry County Police confirmed major crimes is investigating another disappearance.

He said Jamie Lynn Cross, 24, of Murrells Inlet was reported missing on Christmas Day, but was last seen on December 23.

Cross, the mother of a young son, is described as having blue eyes and neon pink hair.

She was last seen leaving her Myrtle Beach home and getting to the back seat of a green Volvo station wagon around 5 p.m. on Dec. 23.

Her family expected her around 10 p.m. that night, but she has not been heard from since. (NOTE: Early reports said Cross got into a Volkswagen, however that information is incorrect.)

Her friends and family have since started a Facebook page where they are posting updates and information about Cross.

The page called "Find Jamie Cross" has nearly 2,000 folks following it for news.

"She is always enthusiastic about keeping people happy no matter the circumstances, even if it seems unfitting she tries to keep people happy so that everyone tries not to be so gloom," said Thomas Cross, Jamie's brother.

Cross has a tattoo on her forearm with the name of her oldest son, "Kevin Scott Campbell."

Cross's disappearance comes less than a week after Heather Elvis, 20, of Myrtle Beach was reported missing.

Lt. Kegler said there is no reason to believe the two are related.
