Chipotle Mexican Grill coming to Greenville

Chipotle lovers rejoice! A new sign on Greenville Boulevard is announcing the long awaited Mexican chain is finally coming to Greenville.

The Brody Company’s sign invites developers to join Chipotle as part of their redevelopment of the company’s commercial subdivision. The storefronts are located near the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Greenville Boulevard.

Greenville residents may have noticed several businesses that have recently closed in the shopping center. Former tenants include Quiznos, Tutti-frutti Frozen Yogurt, and several other shops that have closed in recent months.

Many have expressed their desire to bring the Mexican chain to Greenville over the years. Several Facebook groups have been campaigning to ‘Bring Chipotle to Greenville NC’. East Carolina Students even created a business proposal for the company’s CEO in 2011 laying out a business plan for the chain’s expansion to Greenville.
