Mr. Russell Morgan of Chattahoochee County High School wins MEA Golden Apple Award

Posted: Updated:

Sometimes parents go through life never knowing how their children feel about them.

Not so for Chattahoochee County High School coach and teacher Russell Morgan who was presented the  MEA Golden Apple Award this week.

Thomas Morgan, a former student at Chattco, is Russell Morgan's son and he wrote to tell us how his dad has been a driving force in his life.

Morgan told us that during Coach Morgan's classes, he always encouraged his students to display good character,  commitment and courage in everything they do.

Congratulations again to teacher Russell Morgan this week's MEA Federal Credit Union Golden Apple Award winner.

Anyone can nominate their teacher for a Golden Apple by filling out a nominating form on our website.

You can tune in to see if your favorite teacher has been selected every Wednesday on Evening Edition and Nightwatch during the school year.
