Civilian firearms training offered in March

The Muscogee County Marshal's Office is holding a Civilian Firearms training course in March. Topics will include Georgia firearms laws, proper handling, cleaning and storage of firearms, hands-on training and and emphasis on handgun safety.

To attend the sessions you must be 21 years or older and consent to a background check. You must bring the following items to class:

*Your firearm, holster, and 100 rounds of ammunition
*Eye and ear protection (Marshal's Office will have some available)
*Lunch, drinks and snacks (Range Day)
*Baseball type cap and weather-appropriate clothing for range day

The cost is $42.00 (Cashier's Checks or Money Orders)

The civilian firearms training will be held at the Muscogee County marshal's Office, 100 10th Street, West Wing, 2nd Floor. The class dates are March 17 & 18, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Classroom instruction) and March 22, 8:00 a.m. - 12 p.m.
