A teenager missing from east Tennessee since last weekend has been found in Nashville.
Whitney Edmonds, 17, disappeared last Saturday from her grandparents' house in Maryville, about 20 minutes south of Knoxville.
Her car was found along Interstate 40 in Mt. Juliet, just east of Nashville, the following day.
Thursday morning, two citizens saw Edmonds walking along Shelby Street in east Nashville.
They recognized her from news reports and stopped.
According to Metro police, the citizens told her it was too cold to be on the run. She agreed, got into their car and was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
No other details were released.
