FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting at a Fayetteville apartment that left two people dead Monday night.

Police said they have arrested Rashawn Hill, 17, and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the shooting deaths of 25-year-old Isaiah Manuel Sampeur and 40-year-old Pamela Ann Coe at Cambridge Arms apartments.

Authorities went to a home at 3611 Pickerel St. and requested to speak to a male subject. As officers and deputies entered the home, they heard a shotgun being racked in a rear bedroom. The suspect then fired a single round as officers began walking down the hallway.

A Fayetteville police officer fired one shot at the suspect before officers left the home and put up a perimeter.

Hill eventually surrendered to authorities.

Internal Affairs is investigating the incident since the one officer drew his weapon and fired one round at the suspect.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-8477.
