Second arrest made in W. Longleaf Drive robbery

AUBURN, Ala. -

Auburn Police have made a second arrest in connection with a November robbery on West Longleaf Drive.

On Tuesday they arrested 21-year-old Da'Raebian Barefield from Columbus on a felony warrant charging him with Robbery First Degree. Barefield was subsequently identified as being one of the three individuals involved in the robbery. He was also arrested for Failure to Appear and Probation Violation. Barefield was transported to the Lee County jail and will be eligible for a $100,500 bond. The investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are possible.

On Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 Auburn Police arrested 20-year-old Autumn Macon-Scaff from Auburn for the robbery. The arrest was the result of an investigation of a police report dated Nov. 24. At about 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a call in the 200 Block of West Longleaf Drive.

The victims told police that they were robbed at gun point by three individuals, who stole an Apple iPhone valued at $250 and $200 in cash. The suspects fled the scene on foot with the and no one was seriously injured.

Macon-Scaff was developed as a suspect during the course of the investigation by detectives.   She was arrested by officers on an unrelated charge and taken into custody. She was later charged for the robbery while still in custody at the Lee County Jail and her bond was set at $100,000.
