Several people were standing around a vehicle in the 400 block of Green Street when shots were fired from a vehicle going down the street with its lights off. A 19-year-old female was shot in the hip and hand, police said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. A vehicle was also damaged by gunfire.

Colato and Perez-Alejandre were also charged by Durham police investigators in connection with a Jan. 15 carjacking in the 1800 block of Chapel Hill Road.
