NC man arrested for armed robbery charges, after guy offers him a place to stay for the night

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -

Myrtle Beach Police responded to an armed robbery at the 400 block of 18th Avenue North. When they arrived the victim stated he met the offender and suspect at a bar and apparently they didn't have a place to stay. The victim offered to stay at his place February 8th but they kept asking for money to get bus tickets back to Asheville, North Carolina.  The victim said no several times.

Eventually a fight broke out until one of the subjects put a large kitchen knife to his throat. The victim stated he began pulling money from his pocket, took his iPhone, his keys and left with the knife.

Victim asked a neighbor to call the police. The victim had a cut on his upper lip and nose.  Police noticed the couch was overturned, and several pictures and items were broken on the floor.   

Bradley Reece, 23, of Asheville was arrested and is currently at the Horry County Detention Center charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon as well as assault and battery.

Bail is set at $100,000.00.
