Two claim prizes from Florida Lottery

Posted: Updated:
The Florida Lottery is handing out $500,000 prizes to two lucky state residents after each won on a scratch off.

The lottery says Tommye Bucklin, of the Villages, claimed the prize from the Gold Rush Tripler scratch-off game. Bucklin also won a $1 million scratch-off prize in 2012. Her latest winning purchase was made at Winn-Dixie, on Bichara Boulevard in Lady Lake.

Moments after Bucklin handed in her prize in the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, 34-year-old Renee Thompson Patton of Tampa also claimed a $500,000 prize.

Patton won off a 20X The Cash scratch-off game. She purchased her winning ticket at Sweetbay, on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard West in Seffner.
