SARASOTA COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - A search team is currently on-the-go in Sarasota looking for a lost rescue dog, "Tank."

Tank escaped on Saturday, Feb. 8. He was last seen late Monday morning, at the YMCA Potter Pond Pool. Prior to that, he was seen in the area of US 41 bordering 4100 Central Sarasota Parkway headed south. Tank has been seen in Willowbrook Subdivision headed toward Stonybrook.

They say Tank is extremely shy but may come to other dogs. He is described as a male Australian Shepherd, approximately 42 lbs. He is also dragging a 5-foot leash.

Tank is likely food-motivated because he has not eaten. If you see Tank do not approach, as he is not socialized and it may cause him to run in fear.

If you see Tank, please call the rescuer at 941-296-5177.
