Local Sickle Cell Assoc. to host Annual Heritage Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Association of Sickle Cell of the Lower Chattahoochee Region will host the Annual Heritage Breakfast Saturday, Feb. 22.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and will benefit local sickle cell patients. It will be held at the Occasions Event Center at 1807 Victory Drive in Columbus. Tickets to the breakfast are $10 each. You can also donate by purchasing a $1 ribbon in honor of a child with sickle cell, enter your business card into a raffle drawing for $1, or you can sponsor a table for the breakfast for $80.

There will be two guest speakers at the event. Association President Lois Williams says since the breakfast is in February, it will be tied into Black History Month. CSU Anthropology professor Dr. John Studstill will speak at the breakfast along with Sickle Cell Association founder Deborah Tuggle.
