Third Downtown Master Plan public meeting set in Auburn

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN, Ala. - The City of Auburn is hosting a third public meeting for the Downtown Master Plan project.

The meeting will be on Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m. in the Harris Senior Center on 425 Perry Street.

It's the final chance for Auburn residents to share what they want for Downtown Auburn.

Since the Downtown Master Plan process began, more than 200 people have attended public meetings to share their thoughts on the future of downtown Auburn. In November, more than 75 people shared their ideas for how and where future development should be focused, and what types of streetscapes are desirable for different parts of downtown. The individual plans allowed City staff to better understand what residents value, how they envision the future of Downtown, and how downtown improvements should be prioritized.

In the third and final public meeting, residents will see a summary of the process and the feedback received so far, and will have a chance to help refine a vision and design goals for downtown Auburn. Attendees will be asked to prioritize the Downtown projects that they want to be completed first and to identify where they want to encourage certain uses in Downtown Auburn.
