Two Auburn men arrested for burglary and assault

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN, Ala. - On Tuesday Auburn police arrested 19-year-old Justin Gold and 20-year-old Justin Clark on felony warrants charging them each with Burglary Second Degree, Robbery Second Degree and Assault Third Degree.

At about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday police responded to a report of glass breaking near a residence in the 400 block of N. Dean Road. When officers arrived on the scene they were met by the victim and informed that unknown suspects broke a window at his residence, after which they entered his home where he was asleep inside. One of the suspects assaulted him, while others rummaged through the residence. The suspects fled before retrieving any property. The resident received minor injuries.

Auburn investigators discovered that at least one of the suspects possibly cut themselves at the scene. Justin Gold and Justin Clark were later located by police at East Alabama Medical Center. Further investigation by police determined that both Gold and Clark were involved in the burglary, robbery and assault of the victim, at which point they were taken into custody. The investigation remains ongoing and addition arrests and charges are expected.

Both Gold and Clark were transported to the Lee County Detention Facility where their bonds were set at $130,000 each.
