NAPA, Calif., Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A Woman's Palate (AWP), an association of some of Napa's and Sonoma's finest women vintners/vineyard owners, is excited to announce their May Boot Camp event. This signature event offers an intimate, exclusive opportunity for women to experience the fine wines of Napa and the women who create them. Guest accommodations and the entire experience is designed to offer quiet luxury. Well-known vintners like Molly Chappellet (Chappellet Winery), Beth Milliken (Spottswoode Winery), Joy Sterling (Iron Horse Vineyards) and Eileen Crane (CEO, Domaine Carneros) are all part of A Woman's Palate.
The highlight of the three day wine country immersion is a rare tasting and dinner at the Spottswoode Estate. Beth Milliken, CEO and President of Spottswoode, will host an event where guests will enjoy the chance to savor highly acclaimed Spottswoode wines at a sit down dinner. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the spectacular beauty of a venerable Napa estate. Other Boot Camp events include a cheese class with Lassa Skinner, co-founder of Culture magazine and a Napa cheesemonger; a viticulture experience with St. Supery CEO Emma Swain and winemaker Brooke Langelius; a visit with Eileen Crane, CEO of Domaine Carneros; and multiple tastings and meals with AWP vintner and winemakers.
In addition to Boot Camp, A Woman's Palate offers signature programs through which women can experience these vintners and their wines: an educational seminar, Don't Give Up The Wine List (DGUTWL); and custom events. DGUTWL is a seminar that helps women learn about and become more comfortable ordering and purchasing fine wine. AWP Custom Events brings our vintners to seminars and tastings nationwide.
About A Woman's Palate
Started in 2012 by vintner Sharon Harris and businesswoman Susan Citron, A Woman's Palate wants to introduce women vintners and their stories; share these fine wines made by women with a larger audience of women; and educate women about wine. To do this they signed on some of the most well-known and respected women winemakers in Napa and Sonoma. They continue to strive to improve peoples' lives over a glass of fine wine.
