GEORGETOWN, SC -

One of the two Horry County people charged in the kidnapping and murder of a still-missing 20-year-old woman has been moved out of Horry County facilities.

Tammy Caison Moorer, age 41, and her husband, Sidney Moorer, age 38, were arrested nearly a week ago and were charged on Monday with the murder of Heather Elvis of Myrtle Beach.

Elvis has been missing since Dec. 18, which is when police say they can tie Sidney Moorer to talking with Elvis on her cell phone in the middle of the night.

The Moorer couple were segregated from the general population of J. Reuben Long Detention Center -- for their safety, officials said on Monday.

Now, officials say that Tammy Moorer has been moved to the Georgetown County Jail.

Tammy Moorer was moved out of Horry County around 2 pm Wednesday, officials told WBTW.

It's not clear why she was moved, however, the couple have claimed that they were harassed in the community even before they were charged in the death of Elvis.

Just 2 days before their arrest, Sidney Moorer told Georgetown County authorities that someone fired a shot gun at his entire family as they drove in that county.
