Parker students celebrate win with popular ‘Nae Nae’ dance

Posted: Updated:
BIRMINGHAM, AL - Students and faculty at Parker High School held a big celebration Monday morning after the boys' basketball team won the school’s first state title in 39 years.

Parker beat fellow Birmingham school Ramsay High School Saturday night 56 to 46.

To cap off Monday’s celebration, many basketball players and some cheerleaders gathered in the middle of the gym with their own rendition of the new hip hop dance craze called 'Drop That Nae Nae.

The dance was created by Atlanta rap group We Are Toonz, and made popular by a  video that featured Houston Rockets’ Dwight Howard.

Check out the clip above.

Parker was not the only team to celebrate in this fashion. Check out the video of Midfield players doing the same dance.
