JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL - Three men are facing serious drug charges this morning.

34-year-old David Leigh of Mulga, 23-year-old Bradley Gipson of Edgewater, and 32-year-old Matthew McGaha of Morris have been charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

"In October of 2013 Sheriff's narcotics investigators began developing information that a group of men in western Jefferson County were purchasing large amounts of ICE/Methamphetamine from a dealer in Atlanta and then bringing it back to sell locally. Investigators developed enough information to obtain a search warrant for a residence in the 4600 block of Birmingport Road in Mulga," according to a news release. "On February 28, deputies executed the search warrant. Inside the residence they discovered nineteen ounces of methamphetamine, heroin, and GHB. Methamphetamine is usually sold or used by the gram. The seizure resulted in

removing 532 individual doses of heroin from the streets and possibly the hands of teens in Jefferson County. The methamphetamine has a street value of $106,500."

Each suspect is charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

McGaha posted $50,000 bond and was released, according to deputies.

Gipson and Leigh remain in the Jefferson County Jail.

David Leigh's bond is set at $152,000.

Gipson's bond has been set at $52,500.
