Coach K's condition improves after dizzy spell

DURHAM, N.C. -

Duke Athletics issued a statement early Thursday morning on thecondition of Coach Mike Krzyzewski after he experienced lightheadedness duringand after Duke's loss to Wake Forest Wednesday night.

Krzyzewski missed his postgame newsconference after feeling dizzy and light-headed.

Associate head coach Steve Wojciechowskisaid the team medical staff advised Krzyzewski to remain in the locker roominstead of speaking to reporters after the game.

In a statement released Thursdaymorning, Duke Athletics said Coach K was examined by Duke medical personnel onsite and again at Duke University Hospital.

"His symptoms and conditionhave improved considerably, and Coach Krzyzewski was sent home," the statementreads.

Wojciechowski says Krzyzewski has not been sick, has been in good shape andsays "maybe the emotion got the better of him."
