Boy battling leukemia gets full police honors on his birthday

RHODE ISLAND - A little man in Rhode Island is getting full police honors as he battles leukemia.

More than 200 motorcycles, police cruisers and fire engines will be on hand for Tyler Seddon's 8th birthday Thursday.

It started out with just a few birthday cards from his heroes, but now it's a full-fledged birthday bash.

The police officers and first responders say they want Tyler to know he's not alone in his second battle with leukemia.

"We're hoping that Tyler realizes that he's not alone with this,” said Chief Oscar Elmasian, East Providence Fire Dept.  “Everyone's rallying for him. Outside of being a fire fighter, or a police officer, we're parents."

Tyler will even receive a genuine police chief badge.
