MACON, Ga. -

The Columbus Blue Devils fell to Redan, 63-53, Thursday night in the GHSA AAAA girls basketball state championship.

After taking an early lead, Columbus trailed by 12 at the half thanks to hot shooting from the Lady Raiders.

Columbus fought back to within two late in the game, but leading scorer Jacqueria Gunter left with a knee injury and did not return, and Redan ran away from there.

Gunter led the Blue Devils with 16 points. They finish the season 30-2.
